Recently Appointed Planning & Enforcement Officers Course

 

This course is designed for all planning & enforcement officers involved in the development control process. The course offers officers a step by step guide to the Planning Enforcement process; introducing them to the tools at their disposal & the legal requirements of each process.

In addition to dealing with breaches of planning control, we will cover the legal requirements & practical application of the special controls.

' Enforcement Notices - expediency, content, service, appeal, breach, direct action; practical exercise - drafting
' Breach of Condition Notices: when to use; content; service; breach
' Stop Notices: power to issue; content; service; compensation
' Temporary Stop Notices
' Injunctions: s187B; When to seek; Gypsy/traveller cases


' Advertisement Control - need for consent; Deemed consent; Exempt adverts
' Protection of Trees: Conditions; TPOs
' Listed buildings & Conservations Areas: Unauthorised works; Alteration v demolition
' Untidy Land: s215 Notice - content, service, non-compliance; direct action

          We run this course several times each year.
 
Cost:

£395 per officer for the two days.
