Advertising
An advertisement is any means of representation that is used to advertise, announce or direct people. The use of words, letters, placards, awnings, blinds, beams of light, disused vehicles or trailers placed in fields are all forms of advertising.
If you are a business wishing to advertise your products or the services you offer, you must do so within the constraints of the Town & Country Planning (Control of Advertisement) Regulations 1992. It is a criminal offence to contravene the regulations. If prosecuted you may liable to a level 4 fine (currently £2,500).
We are pleased to offer advice as to whether your proposed or existing advert needs advertisement consent, & if so, we can assist you to seek that consent.
We can also assist you to appeal any decision refusing consent, or provide you with assistance & representation if you are being accused by the council of unauthorised advertising.
